The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark takes part in extensive national and international collaboration.
The overall guidelines governing European environmental, agricultural, fisheries and food policy are determined by the EU.
The Ministry puts a lot of effort into negotiations at the EU's working groups and management committees.
The Ministry also takes part in international cooperation on food policy and trade with such bodies as the World Trade Organisation (WTO), the UN's Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), , the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM).
In Denmark, agricultural and fisheries organisations, environmental organisations and the Danish Consumer Council are important partners.
