The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark has given notice of two agreements to be subject to potential competitive tendering, namely:
- Agreement on Research Services on Animal Behavior, Health, and Welfare accounts for approximately DKK 30 million annually
- Agreement on Research Services on Food Quality and Consumer Behavior accounts for approximately DKK 20 million annually
The grants are subject to annual price and wage adjustments and to the government’s reallocation contribution of 2% per year.
The grant finances 50% advisory services and 50% supporting research.
If it is decided to subject one or both agreements to competitive tendering, a new agreement will be concluded with the ministry, effective from 2028. The agreement period will be a minimum of eight years

New universities may express their interest in a potential competitive tendering of these agreements by submitting the completed contact form, which can be downloaded from the link below. It is possible to submit jointly by two universities. The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries will announce the next steps in a potential competitive tendering in the second half of 2025.
